Personal training in a private gym on the Isle of Wight

I am thrilled to be able to offer 1:1 private gym sessions from my own training room, or if you would prefer, at TJ’s Gym. My private gym allows for full focus, without the worry of a busy environment. Any nerves you may have about visiting a gym or crowded environment, need not be an issue when training with me.

On a more personal note - I am absolutely passionate about helping improve the mental wellbeing of people (and in particular - children/teens), through physical activity.

I wish I could bottle what exercise does for me. Particularly being outdoors, in the sea (surfing, kayaking, wakeboarding, paddleboarding). It's an under-prescribed, under-utilised mental-health, magic bean in my opinion. Having experienced huge benefits myself, I will always be eager to promote this with complete passion.

I have been an avid exerciser and gym go-er since I was a teenager. It has helped me navigate difficult times throughout life.

Having worked at a watersports activity centre, I gained invaluable experience with groups of children and young adults. Many of whom came from disadvantaged backgrounds, some with additional needs, and a huge portion of whom did not have regular access to the beach, the sea or countryside.

MY private training room

I understand that new places can seem somewhat daunting to people. Have a look at this short video so you can see for yourself where you can train. My training room is functional, with a good range of equipment, a chilled-out environment, in a countryside location. No outside interference, no waiting for equipment, no need for nerves about crowded gyms.

1:1 sessions. You, me and some music! Let’s focus on what you want to achieve. Whether it’s building confidence and knowledge to workout of your own accord along side our sessions, or you want to focus on gaining strength - we can work together to get you where you want to be.

No pressure sessions

If the idea of targets, or goals are a cause of anxiety to you, how about booking exercise sessions with me, where the focus is on the here and now? An uncomplicated, guaranteed good workout, with motivation and valuable exercise advice.

Pre / Post natal training

You’re pregnant and want to ensure you are exercising safely. Or, you have welcomed your new family addition and want to regain your fitness. I can arrange home sessions ensuring you don’t have to leave baby in care. Alternatively, come and train in the relaxed atmosphere of my private training room.
